Backstory:
The Puny Suspicion was born out of the basement jam sessions of four high-school friends in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2010. The band’s lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Jesse “Jay” Phillips, and lead guitarist, Matt “Matty” Hoffman, were the core members, sharing a deep passion for music that was equal parts exhilarating and emotive. Joined by drummer Sofia “Sky” Kellerman and bassist Adam “Ace” Carter, they formed Puny Suspicion, a name inspired by their shared creed that even the smallest suspicion can lead to the most significant of revolutions.
While they started off playing small gigs at local cafes and bars, their raw talent soon caught the attention of independent record label, “Indie Echo Records”, which offered them a deal in 2013. Taking the opportunity to spread their music to a larger audience, Puny Suspicion began touring nationally, quickly gaining a loyal fan base with their electrifying performances and soulful lyrics.

Title:
“Echoes of Transience”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Heard your whispers on the [D] summer breeze,
[Em] Touched your memories in the [C] falling leaves.
[G] Running out of moments, [D] running out of time,
[Em] Our hearts are just dust in the [C] corners of time.
(Chorus)
[C] Echoes of Transience, [G] you and me,
[D] Lost in the pages of [Em] our history.
[C] Love’s but a shadow, [G] life but a dream,
[D] We’re just echoes of [Em] transience, it seems.
(Verse 2)
[G] Chasing shadows on this [D] winding road,
[Em] The fire in our hearts is [C] growing cold.
[G] Time is just a thief, [D] stealing our days,
[Em] We’re just moments, lost in [C] life’s maze.
(Chorus)
[C] Echoes of Transience, [G] you and me,
[D] Lost in the dance of [Em] eternity.
[C] Love’s but a whisper, [G] life but a scene,
[D] We’re just echoes of [Em] transience, in between.
Band’s Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan is Tina Martinez. Tina has been following us since our early days of performing in local cafes. We remember her showing up at our very first bar gig, cheering us on, despite the small crowd. She’s traveled to most of our concerts, and never fails to bring her infectious energy and unwavering support. We love you, Tina!
Testimonial by Tina Martinez:
“Puny Suspicion is not just a band, they are my family. Their music has seen me through the best and worst of times. It’s raw, it’s real, and it speaks to the soul. Echoes of Transience is my favorite song, and I swear, it feels like they wrote it just for me. They say I’m their favorite fan, but they’re my favorite band, and always will be.”
