Backstory:
Third Glass is a band that emerged from the suburban neighborhood of Oakley, California, in 2015. The band members, childhood friends Matthew Walsh, Josh Stevens, Sally Annison, and Tommy Jefferson, had a shared interest in music from an early age. Their unique blend of rock and blues with a splash of alternative folk has made them a refreshing addition to the music scene. They named their band Third Glass as a nod to their weekly jam sessions in Matthew’s garage, where they would often find their best inspiration after the third glass of their favorite beer.
Genre: Alternative Folk/Rock
Title: “Rusty Old Strings”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Rusty old strings on a [C] beaten-up guitar,
[Em] Singing out stories of [D] love and war.
[G] Strumming in rhythm with [C] heartbeats and scars,
[Em] Each chord a testament [D] to who we are.
(Chorus)
[G] Oh, we’re just dust, [C] dancing in the wind,
[Em] Chasing dreams, [D] where do we begin?
[G] Through the echoes of [C] laughter and sin,
[Em] We find ourselves in [D] rusty old strings.
(Verse 2)
[G] Shadows of yesterday [C] weaved into song,
[Em] Memories of battles [D] lost and won.
[G] In the symphony of life, [C] we belong,
[Em] Underneath the moon or [D] the rising sun.
(Chorus)
[G] Oh, we’re just dust, [C] dancing in the wind,
[Em] Chasing dreams, [D] where do we begin?
[G] Through the echoes of [C] laughter and sin,
[Em] We find ourselves in [D] rusty old strings.
