Mediocre Isolation

Backstory:

Mediocre Isolation is a group of four friends who hail from the small coastal town of Seaside, Oregon. Founded by lead vocalist and guitarist, Samuel Hightower, and his childhood friends, bassist Kevin Brewer and drummer Andrew “Drew” Hollingsworth, they were later joined by keyboardist Natalie Park. Initially, they were just an average high school garage band, but their quirky lyrics, teamed with their unique sound, won them the Battle of the Bands competition in their senior year. Their victory led to local recognition, and they started performing at community events and small music festivals. Their pursuit of music education in college only strengthened their bond and their commitment to the band, and upon graduation, they decided to make the band their full-time career.

Title:

“Echoes in the Shadows”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[Em] We’re standing at the edge, [D] feeling the wind,
[G] Faces turned to the sky, [C] counting what’s within,
[Em] Memories of sunlit days, [D] dreams of moonlit nights,
[G] Now wrapped in Mediocre Isolation, [C] we take flight.

(Chorus)
[Am] Oh, we’re just echoes in the shadows, [D] not looking for a fight,
[G] Lost in a world that’s shallow, [C] yearning for the light,
[Am] We’re just whispers in the echo, [D] chasing the sun’s last sight,
[G] Finding solace in the hollow, [C] keeping hope in sight.

(Verse 2)
[Em] Stray notes float in the air, [D] as we strum our dreams,
[G] Amidst the clamor and the fair, [C] we sew our seams,
[Em] With tunes that flow like rivers, [D] lyrics that ignite,
[G] In this Mediocre Isolation, [C] we find our might.

Testimonial:

“Mediocre Isolation isn’t just my favorite band, they’re my lifeline. Their music speaks to me in a way nothing else does. It’s as if they’ve put my feelings and experiences into words and melodies. Each song feels like a journey, one that I’m proud to be a part of. Their songs like ‘Echoes in the Shadows’ make me feel seen and understood in a world that often feels confusing and isolating. Being a part of their journey from their garage band days to now has been an amazing experience. Their music has grown with them, and in a sense, with me too. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Mediocre Isolation.”
