Backstory:
Entire Afternoon is a quartet hailing from the heart of Cleveland, Ohio. The band was formed in 2012 when lead vocalist/guitarist, Mike Anderson, met drummer, Alex Baker, during a local charity event. Sharing mutual love for music, they were later joined by Anderson’s childhood friend, Sam Turner, a bass guitarist, and Baker’s cousin, Jake Hamilton, the keyboardist. The band started off playing at local bars and quickly gained a following due to their unique sound and charismatic performances.
The band’s name, Entire Afternoon, was derived from the fact that the band members used to rehearse every Saturday afternoon in their initial days. These sessions would last the entire afternoon, hence, the name. They released their first EP in 2015 which received positive reception, leading to their first album in 2017. Since then, they’ve been on multiple tours, enchanting listeners with their enchanting melodies and profound lyrics.

Title:
“Eclipsed Sun”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am Em
Under a sky so blue,
D G
I found my purpose and that was you,
Am Em
In the light of an eclipsed sun,
D G
Our journey had just begun.
(Chorus)
C G
Eclipsed sun, we’re on the run,
Am Em
Chasing dreams, under the gun,
C G
In the shadow, we find light,
D Em
With you, everything feels right.
(Verse 2)
Am Em
Through the storm and the pouring rain,
D G
We found love amidst the pain.
Am Em
In the calm of the eclipsed sun,
D G
Our hearts beat as one.
(Chorus)
C G
Eclipsed sun, our tale ain’t done,
Am Em
Burning brighter than anyone,
C G
In the darkness, we find sight,
D Em
With you, everything feels right.
