Backstory:

Responsible Star was formed during a chance meeting at a small music festival in Austin, Texas. The band members – lead vocalist, Lily Knight, guitarist, Zac Henson, bassist, Josh Turner, and drummer, Ruby Rose – were all performing as solo acts when a sudden storm hit, leaving them stranded in a makeshift shelter. They began to jam together to pass the time, and despite their diverse musical backgrounds, they found a common ground in their shared love for deeply rooted music with a modern twist. Their undeniable chemistry led them to form Responsible Star, a name that reflects their commitment to using their music to inspire change and challenge societal norms.
