Scrawny Address

Backstory:
Formed in a small garage on a narrow street in downtown Brooklyn, Scrawny Address was a testament to the raw, unfiltered spirit of music. It all started when high school friends, Jake Thompson (vocals) and Max Anderson (guitar), discovered a shared passion for music that transcended the usual teenage distractions. A chance meeting with Emma Stone (drums) at a local music festival gave their raw talent the rhythm it needed to truly shine. The trio took their name from the narrow street and the cramped garage where they had their first practice sessions, setting the stage for the creation of their unique musical identity.

Title:
“Rays of a Silver Lining”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em D C
In the corners of my mind, in the alley of despair,
Em D C
I found a scrawny address, where hope was never there.

Em D C
But I saw a flicker, beneath the rusty gate,
Em D C
A sliver of a silver lining, perhaps it’s not too late.

(Chorus)
G D Em C
So I’ll breathe in the dust, and sing out to the night,
G D Em C
With melodies of longing, beneath the city’s light.

(Verse 2)
Em D C
The echo of my footsteps, in the empty, narrow street,
Em D C
I’m searching for the music, the rhythm in our beat.

Em D C
In this scrawny address, in the silence of our song,
Em D C
We’re kindling the embers, where our dreams belong.

(Chorus)
G D Em C
So I’ll breathe in the dust, and sing out to the night,
G D Em C
With melodies of longing, beneath the city’s light.

Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is named Lily. Lily, a graphic designer from New York, has been following the band since day one. She not only attends every concert but also designs posters and merchandise for the band free of charge.

Testimonial:
As Lily puts it, “Scrawny Address is more than just a band to me. Their music speaks to me on a personal level. It’s raw, authentic, and beautifully vulnerable. I feel like they’re not just singing, but sharing a piece of their soul with every song. The way they’ve risen from a small garage in Brooklyn to this stage is truly inspiring. They’ve shown me that no place is too scrawny to nurture big dreams.”
