Grateful Account

Backstory:
Grateful Account is a band that sprung from the corporate confines of a bustling accounting firm in New York. The four members – Dave, the energetic frontman; Jenny, the passionate drummer; Tom, the soulful bassist and Pete, the genius lead guitarist – all met while crunching numbers by day and nurturing their musical aspirations by night. They started with impromptu jamming sessions in the office after hours, and before they knew it, they had a solid collection of songs that resonated with their unique story.

Their advanced numeracy skills seep into their music, creating a dynamic and unique sound, while their lyrics highlight the struggles and triumphs of everyday life in a corporate setting. Grateful Account’s combined love for music and their accounting jobs was an unconventional formula that propelled them to become one of the most surprising and refreshing bands to come out of the local music scene.

Genre:
Grateful Account primarily plays Alternative Rock, with occasional forays into Indie and Pop Rock.

[Verse 1]

Here in the glow of the office lights,

In the ledger lines, we find our rhyme,

Lost in spreadsheets, but it feels so right.

We’ve got no regrets, just grateful hearts,

Another day, another dollar gained,

In the rhythm of numbers, we’re chained.

We’re more than just accountants, and it shows.

With each song, Grateful Account reaffirms that our day jobs don’t define us, and that’s a message I stand behind.”
