Backstory:
Joyful Tax was formed in the suburban streets of Seattle in 2009 when three high school buddies, Brian “Breezy” Jones, Marcus “Mars” Anderson, and Lawrence “Loz” Nelson, decided to turn their passion for music into something more tangible. Breezy, Mars, and Loz, each from different musical backgrounds, combined their love for various genres to create a unique blend of music, weaving soulful melodies with heartfelt lyrics.
The band hit a major breakthrough in 2012 after the release of their debut album, which was critically acclaimed for its innovative sound and powerful messages. They have since toured extensively across the States, sharing their music and passion with a growing number of fans. The members continue to share a strong bond, feeding off each other’s energy and creativity, making Joyful Tax more of a brotherhood than just a band.
