Wordy Society

Backstory:
Wordy Society was formed in the quiet, book-infested town of Lexicon, where four lifelong friends, each with a unique passion for words and music, came together. They were inspired by the magic of storytelling and the power of lyrics. The band members – Blythe, a curious poet; Calliope, a story-loving songwriter; Sonnet, a deep-thinking bassist; and Lex, a word-obsessed drummer, found their voices in the melodies of words. They took up their instruments in their early teens and started turning their favorite tales and poems into songs, quickly gaining a loyal local following. After recording their first musical piece in Blythe’s basement, they were noticed by a record label scout, and thus their journey as Wordy Society began.

Title:
“The Ballad of the Lost Word”

Full Song Lyrics:

(verse 1)
[G] I’m searching, [D] searching for a lost word,
[Em] A word that was once [C] heard,
[G] It danced on the tip of my [D] tongue,
[Em] But now it’s gone and [C] I’m undone.

(chorus)
[G] In the silence, [D] we find the meaning,
[Em] In the noise, [C] we lose the feeling,
[G] A word can make, [D] a word can break,
[Em] But it’s the lost words, [C] that really shake.

(verse 2)
[G] The whispers of the [D] wind,
[Em] The secrets within, [C] the pages thin,
[G] The echo of an [D] unwritten verse,
[Em] The beauty of the universe.

(repeat chorus)

(end)
[G] The ballad of the lost word, [D] forever unheard,
[Em] But in the silence, [C] we find the meaning,
[G] It’s in the lost words, [D] we find our being.

Fan Testimonial:
“I’m Elaine, a dedicated Wordy Society fan since their first gig in Lexicon. Their music speaks to me on a level I never thought possible. The lyrics are enchanting, they tell a story, and they draw you in. It’s like reading a book and every song, a new chapter. The way they blend words into their music, it’s like a beautiful symphony of stories. No other band has managed to capture the essence of literature in their music like Wordy Society has for me.”
