Cold Rainstorm

Backstory:

Cold Rainstorm is a band that was born from the heart of the Seattle grunge scene in the early ’90s. The group was initially formed by a trio of friends – lead vocalist Alex North, drummer Ryan O’Sullivan, and guitarist Jonny ‘Blaze’ Johnson, who met at a local music school. All three, inspired by the raw sounds and grunge aesthetics of bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam, decided to create their own music, adding their unique twists. Over time, they added a fourth member, bassist Teddy West, and Cold Rainstorm was officially born. Despite the challenges and struggles that came with making it in the music industry, they stayed true to their roots, creating soulful yet grunge-infused music that resonated with fans worldwide.

“Flash Flood”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em G
Under the cloudy sky, in the pouring rain,
D A
I met you, a lost soul, bearing hidden pain.
Em G
Your eyes, stormy grey, full of unshed tears,
D A
Lost in the chaos, fighting unknown fears.

(Chorus)
C G
In the flash flood of your love, I drowned,
D Em
In your cold rainstorm, I was found.
C G
Tasted the bitterness of your sweet lies,
D Em
Under the broken bridges of your cries.

(Verse 2)
Em G
You were the silent whisper in the roaring thunder,
D A
The cold shiver in the warm summer.
Em G
In your heart’s labyrinth, I was lost,
D A
Paid the heavy price, bore the cost.

(Chorus)
C G
In the flash flood of your love, I drowned,
D Em
In your cold rainstorm, I was found.
C G
Tasted the bitterness of your sweet lies,
D Em
Under the broken bridges of your cries.

(Outro)
Em G
In the echo of your cold rainstorm,
D A
I found my solace, my form.
