Backstory:
Identical Curriculum were formed in the sprawling suburbs of Chicago in the late 2000s. Founding members, Scarlett Dawson and Vincent Marshall, both high school music teachers, saw a creative outlet in their shared disdain for the rigidity of the standard curriculum, deciding to channel their frustrations into music. Their band’s formation was a rebellion of sorts, a means to connect with their students on a more profound level. Their music quickly gained traction and resonated with a wider audience, leading to their first self-titled EP in 2011. Since then, the band has released three studio albums and toured extensively, gaining a loyal fanbase.
