Odd Mark

Backstory:

‘Odd Mark’ was formed in the vibrant city of Seattle, Washington, in 2012. The four-piece band comprising of childhood friends – Ben Dover on vocals and rhythm guitar, Jimmy Sparks on lead guitar, Bobbie Jones on the bass, and Chris Rumble on drums. The band’s name comes from an inside joke – a vaguely peculiar birthmark that Jimmy has on his wrist, which became a symbol of their friendship and later, their shared musical journey. With a mutual love for music and a shared dream of making it big, ‘Odd Mark’ began their journey playing in local bars, eventually getting their big break when a talent scout discovered them at an open-microphone night.

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Look out the window, [D] it’s pouring again
[Em] Memories return like [C] shadows in the rain
[G] I see your face, [D] in every drop that falls
[Em] And your voice [C] echoes in the lonely halls

(Chorus)
[G] Shadows in the rain, [D] lost in the pain
[Em] Searching for you, [C] in every lane
[G] Under the thunder, [D] beneath the stars
[Em] I’d find you, [C] no matter how far

(Verse 2)
[G] The night is cold, [D] the road is long
[Em] Walking alone, [C] singing our song
[G] I feel you close, [D] yet you’re so far
[Em] In the sky, [C] you’re the brightest star

(Chorus)
[G] Shadows in the rain, [D] lost in the pain
