Backstory:
Formed in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, in 2009, Humming Income is the brainchild of childhood friends, Dave Wilson and Charlie Hopkins. Initially just a fun project, the band started gaining traction after their impromptu performances in local cafes and underground bars captivated the hearts of many. Inspired by their shared passion for music and their struggles with their entry-level jobs, they decided to quit their day jobs to pursue music full-time. Hence, the name “Humming Income”, a tongue-in-cheek reference to their humble beginnings.
Over the years, the duo expanded the band by adding three more members, Nina Walsh on bass, Tommy Gibson on drums, and Rachel Howard on keyboards. Now a quintet, Humming Income has cemented their reputation in the indie music scene with their unique sound, raw lyrics, and infectious energy.
