The guitarist, a man known only as “Snakebite,” had been playing in small, smoky bars for years. The drummer, a woman named “Knee-Socks,” was a staple in the local jazz scene. They found a shared love for the raw emotion of music and a desire to combine their styles into something wholly unique. After recruiting a sultry-voiced singer from a local open mic night and a classically trained violinist from the city orchestra, Serpentine Knee was born.

Their music stirred the local scene’s quiet undercurrents, blending the sorrowful lament of the blues with the energetic pulse of jazz, grounded by a hint of classical elegance.
