Backstory:

Major Stomach is a group of four childhood friends from Detroit, Michigan. The four, namely, Doug ‘The Drummer’ Douglas, Sam ‘Guitar Guru’ George, Tim ‘Thunder Bass’ Taylor, and Ian ‘Vocal Viper’ Vaughn, met in middle school and began their foray into music by participating in local talent shows and school functions. They were originally influenced by the heavy metal sounds of the late ’80s and early ’90s, but while in college, they decided to experiment with their sound. The result was a unique blend of genres that culminated in the band we know today as Major Stomach. Their band name, an inside joke about their shared love for food and music, was spontaneously coined during an all-night jamming session and just stuck around.
