Optimal Productivity

Backstory:
Born from the ashes of an old paper company, Optimal Productivity emerged onto the music scene in 2010. The band was formed by four college friends, all of whom held mundane 9-to-5 jobs, who then decided to channel their corporate frustration into music. Alan, the lead singer, worked as an accountant, while guitarist Mark was a software engineer. Bassist Hannah used to be in customer service, and drummer Chris who was a graphic designer. Their shared love for music and a desire to break free from their monotonous work routines brought them together, and Optimal Productivity was born. The band has a unique approach to their music, often incorporating sounds and themes from their previous jobs, resulting in a fresh, unorthodox style.

Title:
“Paper Jam Blues”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Got a call from the boss today, [D] said I’m late once again,
[C] Stuck in a paper jam, [G] in the world of corporate men.
[G] My dreams are on hold, [D] ’cause the bills won’t pay themselves,
[C] While I’m living this [G] life, my guitar’s gathering dust on the shelves.

(Chorus)
[G] But I got the Paper Jam Blues, [D] yes, I got them bad,
[C] It’s the rhythm of the Xerox, [G] Best damn beat I ever had.
[G] I’m gonna strum my frustration, [D] in this cubicle of despair,
[C] With the Paper Jam Blues, [G] I’ll set my spirit free, I swear.

(Verse 2)
[G] They say time is money, [D] but what’s money without time?
[C] I’m stuck in this rat race, [G] Committing a victimless crime.
[G] Chasing numbers and files, [D] in the heart of the city noise,
[C] My soul yearns for music, [G] my heart yearns for poise.

(Chorus)
[G] So I sing the Paper Jam Blues, [D] in the silence of the night,
[C] With every keystroke and mouse click, [G] I’m ready for the fight.
[G] In this corporate battlefield, [D] armed with my guitar and my muse,
[C] I combat the monotony, [G] with my Paper Jam Blues.

Testimonial:
“Our favorite fan is undoubtedly Megan. She’s been with us since day one, attending all our concerts and supporting us through thick and thin. Her love for our music goes beyond superficial fandom, she connects with our message and our journey.

Megan says, ‘Optimal Productivity is my favorite band not just because of their unique sound, but for their powerful message. Their music resonates with me as I too am stuck in a mundane 9-to-5 job. It’s like they’ve given voice to my silent frustrations. Listening to their track “Paper Jam Blues” helps me feel seen, and gives me hope that there is more to life than just working. Their music is a constant reminder to never give up on my dreams, no matter what.'”
