Backstory:

Separate Approach was formed in the small town of Cedar Ridge, New Jersey, in 2005. Childhood friends, Gregory “Greg” Colby, Benjamin “Benji” Lewis, and Thomas “Tom” Everett were united by their passion for music in their high school years, finding common ground and harmony in their varied tastes. Greg, the charismatic and bold lead singer, had a knack for writing lyrics that reflected the essence of their lives and experiences. Benji, the tech-savvy keyboardist, skillfully incorporated electronic elements to their sound, while Tom, the introspective drummer, gave a solid backbone to their music.

The band decided on the name “Separate Approach” to reflect their unique approach to music, combining the raw honesty of their lyrics with a diversified sound that seemed to escape conventional genres. Their music became an outlet to express their thoughts, frustrations, and aspirations, resonating with a large audience, leading to their underground success.
