Backstory:
Impossible Architecture is an avant-garde band that was formed in a small town of Iowa, in 2012. The unique mix of individuals, George, a civil engineer, Nancy, an architect, and Alex, a construction worker, came together due to their shared love for music and architecture. They found common ground in their desire to bring their work to the realm of music, with the belief that there is a certain kind of rhythm and melody to the structural world that can be translated into sound. The name ‘Impossible Architecture’ was chosen as it symbolizes their aspiration to transcend the boundaries of the built environment and the sonic world.
Genre:
The band’s genre is a blend of Indie Rock and Experimental Pop. Their music brings out the rhythm, pattern, and harmony they witness in the patterns of architecture, and it is known for being a sophisticated mix of hypnotic soundscapes and catchy melodic hooks.
