Backstory:

Vigilant Analyst was formed in the early 2000s in the heart of Chicago by a group of like-minded friends: Michael Tyler (vocals/guitar), Sarah James (bass), and Nathan Pierce (drums). Their common interest in music and social issues led them to create a band that uses music as a platform to address and analyze prevalent societal concerns. Each song they write embodies a meaningful message, aiming to promote awareness and provoke thought and discussion among their listeners.

Their journey began in small underground venues around the city, quickly gaining a loyal fanbase with their compelling lyrics and distinct sound. In 2005, they won a local battle of the bands which launched their career, leading to their first regional tour and a contract with an independent record label. Title: “Walls of Perception”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] In an unforgiving world, [Em] full of doubts and fear,
[C] We built these walls, [D] walls of perception here,
[G] Drowning voices unheard, [Em] underneath the crowd,
[C] Echoing the unsaid words, [D] silently too loud.

(Chorus)
[G] Break down the walls, [D] let the truth unfurl,
[Em] Find the courage inside, [C] in this deceptive world,
[G] Let the voices be heard, [D] let the silence end,
[Em] Through the echoes and noise, [C] let us comprehend.

(Verse 2)
[G] We’ve masked our hearts, [Em] guarded our souls,
[C] Lost within the parts, [D] ignoring the wholes,
[G] entangled in this web, [Em] of lies and deceit,
[C] Seeking truth, [D] in every defeat.

(Chorus)
[G] Break down the walls, [D] let the truth unfurl,
[Em] Find the courage inside, [C] in this deceptive world,
[G] Let the voices be heard, [D] let the silence end,
[Em] Through the echoes and noise, [C] let us comprehend.
