Backstory:

Raw Dictionary was formed in 2012 in the heart of New York City when four like-minded friends from college decided to combine their love for music and linguistic prowess. The band’s unique name was inspired by their collective eccentricity and passion for words and expressions. The band’s members include lead vocalist and guitarist Sam ‘Scribble’ Thompson, bassist ‘Rhyme’ Richard Jones, drummer ‘Verb’ Vince Miller, and keyboardist ‘Metaphor’ Mike Walters. Their journey started with late-night jam sessions in their dorm rooms, which soon caught the attention of their campus crowd and gradually spread across the city.

Their big break came when they were discovered by a music producer at one of their underground performances, who was hooked not just by their music but also the lyrical depth and wordplay that the band offered. This marked the beginning of their journey into mainstream music. Despite the fame, they never lost their love for the raw, unfiltered music, staying true to their identity, the identity of the Raw Dictionary.
