Average Fear

Backstory:

Average Fear was born in the murky basements and dimly lit garages of the gritty, working-class town of Millerton, Pennsylvania. Lead singer and guitarist, Jack Stanton, started the band as an outlet for his angst and a break from the monotonous grind of his factory job. Joined by his best friend, drummer Rick Sanders, and their neighborhood pal, bassist Benny O’Neal, the trio found their solace in music. Despite their band’s name, these guys were anything but average. Their unique sound, fueled by their everyday struggles, began to gain traction, earning them a cult following in the dive bars and small venues around the city.

Genre:

Average Fear would best be described as Grunge Rock, with elements of Punk and Alternative Rock.

“Chasing Shadows”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em C G D
In this town, where dreams are rust and dust,
Em C G D
I see your face, it’s the only thing I trust.
Em C G D
In the mirror of my ordinary life,
Em C G D
You’re the beacon, cutting through my strife.

(Chorus)
Em C G D
Chasing shadows in the night,
Em C G D
I am lost, but you’re my light.
Em C G D
In the echoes of my average fear,
Em C G D
Your voice, your song is all I hear.

(Verse 2)
Em C G D
Through the noise of this working class grind,
Em C G D
In your eyes, my solace I find.
Em C G D
Every chord, every beat, every rhyme,
Em C G D
Speak our truth, echo our time.

(Chorus)
Em C G D
Chasing shadows in the night,
Em C G D
I am lost, but you’re my light.
Em C G D
In the echoes of my average fear,
Em C G D
Your voice, your song is all I hear.

Favorite Fan: Sarah Thompson

“I’ve been a die-hard fan of Average Fear from the very beginning. Their music speaks to my soul and echoes the raw, human experience in a way that no other band does. Jack, Rick, and Benny are just ordinary guys dealing with ordinary fears, like all of us. There’s an authenticity and a rawness to their music that I can’t get enough of. They remind me that it’s okay to have fears, to be average, and to embrace who we are.”
