Backstory:
In the urban jungle of Detroit, amidst the industrial landscape and the bustling city life, four friends were brought together by their passion for music and rebellion. Gray Assault was formed in 2010, with Max “Axeman” Cooper on the lead guitar, Rodney “Rodeo” Smith on the bass, Jimmy “Jett” Harrison on the drums, and Tony “T-Rex” Rivers on vocals. They were all disillusioned with the modern music scene and sought to create something raw and unique. Their shared love for grungy, hard-hitting music, and their collective experiences of growing up in the gritty underbelly of Detroit, shaped the band’s unique sound and ethos.

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[C] Down in the heart of the [G] city, where the [Am] dreams are all but [Em] pretty
[F] Lost in the [C] noise, amongst the [G] boys and their [C] toys
[C] Concrete walls, [G] steel cages, [Am] trapped souls, [Em] silent rages
[F] We’re just [C] trying to [G] find our [C] voices in the [G] void
(Chorus)
[C] We are the [G] children of the [Am] Concrete Jungle,
[Em] Broken dreams and [F] shattered hope, [C] it’s a [G] lethal [C] struggle
[C] In the heart of the [G] Concrete Jungle, [Am] we stand [Em] tall
[F] Fight until the [C] end, we [G] won’t let [C] our spirits fall
(Verse 2)
[C] Grinding gears, [G] rusted chains, [Am] echoes of [Em] forgotten pains
[F] We’re just [C] trying to [G] find our [C] peace in the [G] chaos
(Chorus)
[C] We are the [G] children of the [Am] Concrete Jungle,
[Em] Survival is the [F] game, in this [C] urban [G] tangle [C]
[C] In the heart of the [G] Concrete Jungle, [Am] we find [Em] strength
[F] From the ashes [C] we rise, [G] to any [C] length
