Trustworthy Plastic

Backstory:
Formed in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, in 2014, Trustworthy Plastic was initially just a project among childhood friends. Trenton “Trent” Beckett and Oscar “Ozzy” Palmer, both passionate about music, started jamming in Trent’s parents’ garage, composing songs that would later become their signature sound. Over time, the band expanded, adding drummer Meredith “Mera” Clayton and bassist Gabriel “Gabe” Hartley. Trustworthy Plastic took the local scene by storm, their performances becoming a melting pot of raw energy and heartfelt emotions that captivated audiences.

In 2016, Trustworthy Plastic released their debut album, “Echoes of Suburbia,” which quickly gained traction both at home and abroad. Title:
“Paper Hearts in Plastic Love”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] I see you walking [D] down our old street, [Em] In dreams, where [C] paper hearts meet,
[G] Echoes of laughter, [D] whispers of our past, [Em] Still linger though we’ve [C] grown apart so fast.

(Chorus)
[G] We’re just paper hearts in [D] plastic love,
[Em] Chasing echoes of what we [C] once was,
[G] But like a vinyl record [D] in the rain,
[Em] We warp and we wane, [C] never the same.

(Verse 2)
[G] The city’s backdrop [D] seems much colder now, [Em] Streets are empty, [C] devoid of our vows,
[G] Broken promises, [D] shattered dreams, [Em] We’re not quite the [C] lovers we used to be.

(Chorus)
[G] We’re just paper hearts in [D] plastic love,
[Em] Chasing shadows of what we [C] once was,
[G] But like a Polaroid [D] left to fade,
[Em] The colors of our love [C] start to degrade.
