Backstory:
Surprised Circle was formed in the creative hub of Seattle in 2004. The story of its inception is as interesting as their music. Jill Archer, a talented violinist, and Jake Hardy, a passionate guitarist, crossed paths in a music shop. Their love for unique sound and the magic that happens when different genres collide, led them to form Surprised Circle. Shortly after, they invited their friends – percussionist Andy Clarke and bassist Will Benson, to join the band. The band’s name was inspired by an inside joke about how their unexpected collaboration felt like a “circle of surprises”.
