Cavernous Cheese

Backstory:
Cavernous Cheese emerged from the foggy, music-soaked streets of Seattle in the late 90s. Founding members, Simon ‘Cheddar’ Chadwick and Daniel ‘Gouda’ Gorman, initially bonded over their shared affinity for various cheese types, a mutual love of music, and the need to express their unique perspective on the world. They were soon joined by drummer, Emily ‘Edam’ Evans, and bassist, Jack ‘Jarlsberg’ Johnson, thus completing the band’s lineup. From day one, Cavernous Cheese had a mission to create music that was as deep and complex as the finest aged cheeses they loved, and they’ve been melting into the hearts of fans ever since with their eclectic tunes.

“Cheddar Chasm”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse1)
[Em] Down the rabbit hole, [C] into the unknown
[D] Lost in a cheddar chasm, [Em] far from home
[Em] Gouda’s guitar rings, [C] Edam’s sticks crash
[D] In the cavernous heart, [Em] we make our bash

(Chorus)
[G] Cheddar Chasm, [D] where our hearts collide
[Em] Brie and Bleu, [C] on this wild ride
[G] Cheddar Chasm, [D] in the cavernous deep
[Em] We sing, we play, [C] we hardly sleep

(Verse2)
[Em] Smoky notes float, [C] in the ancient air
[D] Jarlsberg’s bass beats, [Em] without a care
[Em] Camembert dreams, [C] and Roquefort nights
[D] In the Cheddar Chasm, [Em] we ignite our lights

(Chorus)
[G] Cheddar Chasm, [D] where our hearts collide
[Em] Brie and Bleu, [C] on this wild ride
[G] Cheddar Chasm, [D] in the cavernous deep
[Em] We sing, we play, [C] we hardly sleep

“Why is Cavernous Cheese my favorite band? Besides the deliciously cheesy name, their music takes you on a journey into the deepest corners of your soul. It has a way of making you feel seen, understood, and less alone in the world. The first time I heard ‘Cheddar Chasm’, I was going through a really rough time. The lyrics and melody resonated with me so deeply, I felt like they were singing my story. I’ve been a dedicated ‘Cheeseling’ (as they affectionately call their fans) ever since.”
