“One Lost Summer”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1: C Am F G)
It was one lost summer,
We danced under the pale moonlight.
Your eyes were a mystery,
They were my favorite sight.

(Chorus: F G Am G)
One lost summer, wandering in the night,
We were young, we were reckless,
Living on borrowed time.

(Verse 2: C Am F G)
We talked of tomorrow,
Though we knew it wouldn’t last.
In the echoes of the sunset,
We tried to forget our past.

(Chorus: F G Am G)
One lost summer, hearts beating as one,
We were dreamers, we were lovers,
Dancing till the dawn.

(Bridge: Am G F G)
And even though the summer’s gone,
I’ll find you in every song.
In the whispers of the wind,
I’ll hold on to what we had, till the end.

(Chorus: F G Am G)
One lost summer, I’ll remember forever,
You were my sun, my moon,
Our love, the greatest treasure.

Discrete Mortgage

Backstory:

Discrete Mortgage was born from the rubble of seemingly disparate paths. The band members, all ex-bankers and mortgage brokers, found solace in each other’s company during the global financial crisis in 2008. As they began to question their career choices, they found a common thread running through their hearts – music. Lead singer, Alan (former Risk Analyst), guitarist, Brian (Ex-Mortgage Broker), bassist, Derek (previously a Credit Derivatives Specialist), and drummer, Eddie (ex-Quantitative Analyst), decided to quit the financial sector and form the band which they humorously named, Discrete Mortgage.

Their music journey started in Alan’s garage, where they would unwind after work and jam into the early hours. Be it the frustration from their jobs or the common love for music, their bond grew stronger and so did their music. They found solace in creating melodies that echoed their sentiments and resonated with people who found themselves in similar predicaments. Their lyrics often reflected their past, their dreams, and their longing for a simpler life.

Frightened Nerve

Backstory:
Frightened Nerve was born out of the grit and grime of a shared New York loft in the late 2000s. Originally composed of three art college dropouts – Sam “Squid” Quinn (Vocals, Guitar), Larry “LZ” Zaragoza (Drums), and Adrian “Addy” James (Bass) – the trio found a common ground in their love for music, specifically the raw, unfiltered energy of punk intertwined with the melodic melancholy of indie rock. With Quinn’s poignant lyrics, Zaragoza’s thunderous drumming, and James’s edgy bass lines, Frightened Nerve quickly began carving out a unique space for themselves in the New York underground music scene.

One fateful night in 2012, they were discovered by a talent scout while performing at a small dive bar. From there, the band was catapulted into the spotlight, gaining a rabid fan base and critical acclaim. The band was then finalized with the addition of Amelia “Amy” Norwood, a classically trained violinist who brought a new depth to their sound with her hauntingly beautiful string arrangements. Despite their rise to fame, Frightened Nerve never lost their indie spirit, consistently delivering music that is as honest and raw as the city that birthed them.
