1. Backstory:

Cloudy Capacity was born in the quiet suburbs of Austin, Texas. A group of friends, Jake Thompson (lead vocals, guitar), Mia Collins (drums), Sam Mitchell (keyboard, backing vocals), and Lila Evans (bass, backing vocals), were all students at the same high school and shared a mutual love for music, specifically indie rock. Despite their diverse musical backgrounds, they began jamming together in Jake’s garage in their sophomore year. Their bond grew stronger over time, and they decided to form a band, naming it Cloudy Capacity in reference to their shared belief in the unlimited potential of the human mind. Their music became the perfect platform to express their thoughts, ideas, and emotions.

Cloudy Capacity’s journey started with performances at school events and local gigs. Their unique sound and heartfelt lyrics quickly garnered a loyal fanbase. Their big break came in 2017 when they won a state-wide battle of the bands competition, catapulting them into national recognition. Since then, the band has been traveling, performing, and sharing their music across the country.
