1. Backstory
Formed in the dreary heart of the industrial city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2010, Dreary Priority quickly made a name for themselves on the local music scene. Comprising of vocalist Lawrence ‘Larry’ McAllister, guitarist Evan ‘Vane’ Stroud, drummer Damian ‘Dame’ Fowler, and keyboardist Alice ‘Aly’ Holt, the band was a fusion of childhood friends and strangers who met by chance, all sharing a common dream to make music that resonates with the soul. Despite their humble background, Dreary Priority clawed their way to local fame through underground concerts and relentless self-promotion.
The band’s big break came in 2014 when their self-released album “Rain Metal” caught the attention of recording executive Jake ‘Jay’ Levinson, who quickly signed them to his record label, Neon Brilliance Records. Since then, they’ve toured nationally, sharing stages with big names in the industry, while maintaining a dedicated fan base. Dreary Priority continues to release new music, staying true to their roots, and embracing the raw, authentic emotion that defined their early work.
