Disgusting Outline

Backstory

Disgusting Outline is a band that embodies the spirit of rebellion and outsider culture. The band was formed in the dingy rooms of the New York City art school in 2010. The founding members, Charlie Murphy (Vocals), Pete Harrison (Guitar), and Rick Thompson (Drums), were all drawing students who felt a burning urge to express their frustrations with society. Music became their voice, a way to channel their raw, unfiltered feelings about the flaws and hypocrisies they saw in the world around them. After their graduation, the trio decided to continue their musical journey, adding bassist Amy Foster to their lineup. Together, they created Disgusting Outline, a band representing their shared vision and aesthetic – a ‘disgusting outline’ of the society they were critiquing.

Fan Testimonial

The band’s favorite fan is a guy named Johnny “Punk” Stiverson. Johnny has attended every single one of Disgusting Outline’s shows, and even has a tattoo of the band’s logo on his arm. He says, “Disgusting Outline isn’t just a band, it’s a movement. Their music is raw, unfiltered, and brutally honest. They’re not afraid to call out society’s bullshit and I respect them for that. I’ve been a punk rock fan for years, but Disgusting Outline has a sound and message that resonates with me on a deeper level. They’re my favorite because they’re the voice of our generation.”
