Fluffy Tax

Backstory:

Fluffy Tax came to life in the small town of Brighton, UK, when a group of three childhood friends, Mike, Steve and Jack decided to beat the boredom of their mundane jobs by starting a band. Their unusual name comes from a late-night joke about Mike’s excessive cat obsession and how he should start paying a ‘fluffy tax’. The joke stuck and became a part of their identity. They started off by playing at local pubs, their unique sound and infectious energy earning them a growing fan base. Soon enough, they were touring around England and making a name for themselves in the music world.

Genre:

Fluffy Tax’s music is a vibrant mix of Indie Rock and Folk Pop. Their lyrics are poetic, often filled with satirical and social commentary, delivered through powerful melodies. You can hear the influence of bands like Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons in their sound, but they’ve managed to carve out their own unique niche.

“One Way Ticket”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am Dm C G
I’m on a one-way ticket, to nowhere in particular,
Am Dm C G
Chasing shadows, and echoes of a dream.
Am Dm C G
Lost in the noise, of the city’s cruel laughter,
Am Dm C G
Speak up love, before we burst at the seams.

(Chorus)
F C G Am
We’re just playing, a game of survival,
F C G Am
In a world that’s lost its way.
F C G Am
If you’re not careful, you’ll become a revival,
F C G Am
Of yesterday’s forgotten payday.

(Verse 2)
Am Dm C G
Caught in the web, of an endless rat race,
Am Dm C G
Running circles, in a square box.
Am Dm C G
Take my hand, let’s find our own space,
Am Dm C G
Away from the city’s paradox.

(Repeat Chorus)

(Bridge)
F C G Am
Oh, the wind is calling, from beyond the sea,
F C G Am
Let’s take that one-way ticket, to where we’re meant to be.

(Repeat Chorus)
