Backstory:
Enormous Battle was conceived in the throbbing heart of New York City, in the midst of the bustling rock scene of 1993. The brainchild of high school buddies Mike ‘Thunder’ O’Reilly and Evan ‘Lightning’ McRae, the band started off as an outlet for their frustration against the status quo. Their raw energy and honest lyrics soon started creating ripples in the underground music scene and before they knew it, they had a loyal following who identified with their rebellious spirit.
The band’s breakthrough came in 1996 when they were signed by a major record label after a talent scout spotted them at a local gig. Although the years have brought multiple lineup changes, the heart of Enormous Battle remains the same – a rebellion against the norm, a refusal to bow down, and a commitment to making truthful, hard-hitting music.

Title:
‘Desolate Streets’
Full Song Lyrics:
[Verse]
Am D G C
Walking down these desolate streets,
Am D G C
I see the ghosts of memories,
Am D G C
Where we carved our names into the concrete,
Am D G C
Now all that’s left are broken dreams.
[Chorus]
F C G
In the echoes of our laughter,
F C G
I can hear the whispers of our defeat,
F C G
We used to own the world, now it doesn’t matter,
F C G
All that’s left are these desolate streets.
[Verse]
Am D G C
The city lights used to be our guide,
Am D G C
Now they just hide the stars,
Am D G C
We used to walk with such pride,
Am D G C
Now we’re just nursing our scars.
[Chorus]
F C G
In the echoes of our laughter,
F C G
I can hear the whispers of our defeat,
F C G
We used to own the world, now it doesn’t matter,
F C G
All that’s left are these desolate streets.
Band’s Favorite Fan:
Their favorite fan is a woman named Lisa Martinez. Lisa has been with them since their very first gig in a dingy basement bar, always front and center at every show. She is the embodiment of their spirit – a fighter, a rebel, unwilling to succumb to the status quo.
Testimonial:
“As a teenager, I was constantly feeling out of place, unable to fit into the mold society had created. Enormous Battle’s music was a revelation – it was as if they were speaking directly to me, giving a voice to my feelings of rebellion and discontent. Their raw energy and unapologetic lyrics resonated with me on a level that no other band ever has. They are not just a band for me, they’re a lifeline.” – Lisa Martinez
