Backstory:
Courageous Turnover emerged from the diverse musical landscape of Austin, Texas in the summer of 2005. Childhood friends, lead singer and guitarist Leo Thompson and bassist Oliver Rogers, discovered their shared love for music during their high school years. After playing at local gigs and open mics, the duo decided to take their passion to the next level. They recruited drummer, Lily Roberts, and keyboardist, Jack Hudson, from a neighborhood band to form Courageous Turnover, a name inspired by their collective decision to leave their conventional careers to pursue their musical dream.
The band came to public attention when they won the “Austin’s Rising Stars” contest in 2007, gaining them a record contract with Indie label, Lunar Tunes. Their debut album “Turn the Tide” was a hit, solidifying their reputation as a band that was here to stay. Over the years, the band’s sound has matured and evolved, making them a mainstay in the indie music scene, and their live performances are known for their energy and authenticity.
