Ready Carpenter Ant

Backstory:

Ready Carpenter Ant is a group of four close-knit friends from the southern hills of Georgia who found solace in their shared love for music. The band was formed in the humid summer of 2010, under a weather-beaten canopy in the backyard of lead singer, Jonny ‘Carpenter’ Casey’s home. The band’s name was inspired by a red carpenter ant that Jonny found tirelessly working in his backyard, and it seemed to echo the essence of their journey — a relentless pursuit of a shared dream.

In their early years, the band performed at local bars, college festivals, and small-time gigs, slowly but steadily building a loyal fanbase with their unique sound. Their breakthrough came in 2015 when they were discovered by a talent scout at a music festival in Atlanta. Since then, Ready Carpenter Ant has taken the music industry by storm, sharing their distinctive blend of Southern charm and gritty musical genius.

Title:

“Hammer in the Wind”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em C G D
Underneath the Georgia sun, a hammer in the wind,
Em C G D
Chasing dreams, got the blues, where do I begin?
Em C G D
Workin’ all day, playin’ all night, got no time to pretend,
Em C G D
I’m just a carpenter ant, with a heart on the mend.

(Chorus)
Em C G D
I’m a Ready Carpenter Ant, workin’ in the southern land,
Em C G D
Got the wind in my sails, guitar in my hand.
Em C G D
I’m a ready carpenter ant, I play the blues to understand,
Em C G D
How the rhythm of life, is like grains of sand.

(Verse 2)
Em C G D
I found love, I lost love, beneath the starry sky,
Em C G D
Sang songs of sorrow, with a tear in my eye.
Em C G D
I’m just a carpenter ant, with a song to sing,
Em C G D
I strum the strings of life, in the hope it’ll bring.

(Chorus)
