Backstory:
Fearful Philosophy was born from the eclectic minds of college roommates, Alex Fletcher and Brian Nichols. While studying philosophy and history in the heart of Cambridge, they found a unique connection through their shared affinity for old vinyl records and late-night existential debates. Alex, a self-taught drummer and Brian, a guitarist with a knack for writing thought-provoking lyrics, decided to form a band that would encapsulate their academic passions and musical talents. Joined later by classmate and bassist, Sarah Thompson, the trio christened themselves as ‘Fearful Philosophy’, an ode to their collective love for philosophy and the fear in understanding the unknown.

Their journey as a band has been anything but conventional. Their first gig was in a musty old library, where they played to a crowd of intrigued scholars. Their unique fusion of thought-provoking lyrics, interwoven with their musical prowess, quickly garnered them a dedicated local fan base. Today, Fearful Philosophy continues to push the boundaries of traditional music, experimenting with sounds, ideas, and exploring the deeper realms of human existence.
