Backstory:

Heavy Pot originated in the vibrant underbelly of Seattle’s grunge scene, back in the late 90s. The band – comprising of the charismatic lead vocalist Alex “Lex” Lawson, the electrifying guitarist “Smoky” Joe, the rhythm machine drummer Benny “Beat” Jackson, and the spirit of the band, bassist “Melody” Mike – was born in a shared flat above a record store. While enduring part-time jobs and gathering pennies, they managed to save up and buy their first instruments. As a tribute to their love for vintage rock and their bohemian lifestyle, they named their band Heavy Pot.

Their breakthrough came when they were spotted by a local radio DJ at an underground gig, who was blown away by their unique, heavy sound and raw energy. From dingy basement venues to renowned music festivals, Heavy Pot carried their signature sound with a rebellious spirit, capturing the hearts and minds of an entire generation.
