Backstory:
Formed in the creative melting pot of a small Midwestern college town, Weird Pain emerged from the underground music scene like a phoenix. The core members, lead vocalist Jordan “Jax” Pines, guitarist Tabitha “Tabby” Renfro, bassist Max “Buzz” Beecham, and drummer Eric “Rico” Thompson, met in a local bar’s open mic night in 2012. Sharing a common love for unconventional music and eccentric performances, they decided to form a band and bring their unique sound to the world. Over the years, they have managed to retain their original lineup with a chemistry that’s palpable both on and off stage.
In the initial years, Weird Pain played in dive bars, college festivals, and house parties, building a loyal local fanbase. Their big break came in 2015 when their first full-length album, “Anatomy of Ache,” caught the attention of a renowned music journalist. Their innovative sound and raw, emotive lyrics catapulted them from obscurity into the limelight, and they haven’t looked back since.
