Backstory:
Imaginary Medicine was formed in 2005 in the bustling heart of Austin, Texas, a city renowned for its vibrant music scene. The band includes lead singer and guitarist, Jack Sullivan, keyboardist Sarah Owen, bassist Bill Monroe, and drummer Alan Scott. Originally friends from high school, they found a common bond in their shared love for music and a desire to connect with people on a deeper level. Over lunch one day in their favorite local cafĂ©, they formed Imaginary Medicine, a band dedicated to translating life’s experiences into soul-touching melodies.
The name ‘Imaginary Medicine’ was inspired by their firm belief that music has a healing power, a form of therapy that could soothe the troubled mind and soul. They started performing at local music festivals, and quickly gained a loyal fan base that appreciated their raw honesty and hauntingly beautiful soundscapes.
