Backstory:

Born under the rainy skies of Seattle, ‘Somber Mud’ is a grunge band consisting of four close friends, all of whom were high school dropouts. The band members, fueled by their shared passion for music and their desire to escape the mundanity of their everyday lives, started creating music in their basements. Their band name, ‘Somber Mud,’ is a tribute to the dreary weather of their hometown and the melancholic themes present in their music.

The band members include lead vocalist and guitarist Ryan Daniels, bassist Jake Thompson, drummer Kyle Murphy, and backing vocalist and keyboardist Peter Collins. Despite their lack of formal music training, ‘Somber Mud’ managed to churn out raw and emotionally resonant music. Their signature sound is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, powerful drum beats, and a haunting blend of vocals.
