Dead Fireman

Backstory:
Dead Fireman is an alternative rock band that was founded in 2015 in the buzzing bohemian streets of Portland, Oregon. The group was formed by four childhood friends – frontman Michael “Mick” Thompson, guitarist Jason “Ace” Hall, bassist Richie “The Reverend” Davis, and drummer Danny “Mad Dog” Chambers. The band draws its inspiration from a tragic event when the high school they attended caught fire, and a brave fireman lost his life saving others. This incident left a significant imprint on their lives, and they decided to honor him with their band name and music.

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am C G D
Burning bright in the heart of the city,
F C G
Underneath the moon’s soft light,
Am C G D
In the heat of the moment, life’s pretty,
F C G
But it can disappear in the night.

(Chorus)
C D G E
Embers in the night, we’re burning so bright,
C D G E
Trying to keep alive, the fireman’s light,
C D G E
We sing our songs, with all our might,
C D G
In the memory of, that fateful night.

(Verse 2)
Am C G D
With the echoes of sirens, we remember,
F C G
A hero who answered the call,
Am C G D
His spirit now a glowing ember,
F C G
In the hearts of us all.

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
Am Em G D
Can you feel the heat, can you feel the pain,
Am Em G
His sacrifice, was not in vain.

(Chorus)

(Outro)
Am Em G D
Embers in the night, keep his flame alive,
F C G
In the memory of, that brave fireman’s dive.

“Why Dead Fireman is my favorite band? It’s because their music resonates with the soul. When they strum their guitars and sing their heartfelt lyrics, it’s like they are narrating the stories of our lives. The raw emotion in their song ‘Embers in the Night’ reminds me that we all have the ability to be heroes in our own way. Their music is so much more than just a melody; it’s a celebration of life, love, and sacrifice. Dead Fireman is not merely a band; it’s a symbol of courage, resilience, and the indomitable human spirit!”
