“Leviathan in a Teacup”

Full song lyrics (Verse, Chorus)

(Verse 1)
G Em
In the heart of the city, lies a beast untamed
C D G
In plain sight, yet unseen, life’s twisted game
Em Bm
In the shadow of the skyscrapers, under neon light
C D G
The leviathan swims in a teacup, oh what a sight

(Chorus)
G Em
Leviathan, oh Leviathan, in a teacup you reign
C D G
The world’s a joke, and we’re all broke, in your sardonic game
Em Bm
We spin our wheels, chase our deals, but what do we obtain?
C D G
Just pawns in the game, of the Leviathan in a teacup, such is life’s disdain

(Verse 2)
G Em
With each tick of the clock, we’re caught in the grind
C D G
Manufacturing happiness, leaving sanity behind
Em Bm
In this concrete jungle, we’re all just cogs
C D G
In the grand machine, under the watch of corporate dogs

(Chorus)
G Em
Leviathan, oh Leviathan, in a teacup you reside
C D G
With each day that passes, further we slide
Em Bm
Into the abyss of your manufactured mirth,
C D G
Oh, Leviathan in a teacup, what’s it all worth?

Fan’s Testimonial:
This testimonial is from Abby McAdams, a die-hard fan living in Portland, Oregon. “I discovered Sardonic Manufacturer during a really tough time in my life. I was stuck in a job I hated and felt like I was living in a loop. Their music spoke directly to my frustrations. The way they use irony to comment on the absurdities of modern life is absolutely refreshing. Their song ‘Leviathan in a Teacup’ in particular, became my anthem. It helped me see the humorous side of my predicament and eventually gave me the courage to quit my job and pursue my passion for painting. Sardonic Manufacturer is more than just a band to me; they’re my catalyst for change.”
