Backstory:
Suspicious Dock was born from the unlikeliest of places, a tiny fishing village on the edge of Maine. Comprised of five childhood friends, they grew up exploring the foggy docks, creating stories about the mysterious shipments that would arrive in the wee hours of the night. Their curiosities would later serve as inspiration for their music. Lead singer, Tommy “Squid” Jones, always had a keen sense of adventure and a knack for storytelling, which paired well with the musical talents of his friends. They began playing music together in high school, and their bond strengthened over time as they navigated their youthful trials and tribulations.
After graduating, the group decided to pursue their shared dream of music and formed Suspicious Dock. They found a gritty loft in the city, where they would hold impromptu concerts for their friends and soon-to-be fans. Their raw energy, relatable lyrics, and close-knit camaraderie captivated their audience, subsequently catapulting them into the public eye. With their humble beginnings still serving as their grounding force, Suspicious Dock continues to deliver music that resonates with their listeners’ hearts and minds.

Title: “Midnight Shipment”
Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1: C-G-Am-F)
C
On a foggy dock under the midnight moon,
G
We’d watch as the ships come sailing through.
Am
Curious eyes and hearts full of youth,
F
We’d dream up stories, searching for the truth.
(Chorus: F-G-C-Am)
F
Midnight Shipment, tell us your tale,
G
Are you a savior or a beast with a sail?
C
Lost in the fog, we’re chasing the unknown,
Am
On this Suspicious Dock, we’ve found our home.
(Verse 2: C-G-Am-F)
C
Now we’re in the city, far from the sea,
G
But the echo of the waves still calls to me.
Am
Our dreams have grown, just like this town,
F
But under these lights, we won’t drown.
(Chorus: F-G-C-Am)
F
Midnight Shipment, tell us your tale,
G
Are you a savior or a beast with a sail?
C
Lost in the fog, we’re chasing the unknown,
Am
On this Suspicious Dock, we’ve found our home.

Suspicious Dock isn’t just a band for me; it’s an emotion. Their music has always been a beacon for me in my darkest times. Each lyric feels like a personal message, and their melodies reverberate within my soul. They have remained true to their roots, and that authenticity is reflected in their music. It’s like they’ve taken a piece of that foggy dock with them, and whenever I listen to them, I find myself transported there, experiencing their tales firsthand. Being their fan isn’t about just the music, it’s about being part of their journey, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
