“One Last Dance in the Rain”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] I saw her standing, [D] all alone
[Em] She had a sadness, [C] in her bones
[G] I asked her darling, [D] what’s your pain?
[Em] She said let’s have [C] one last dance in the rain

(Chorus)
[G] One last dance in the rain, [D] wash away the pain
[Em] With the rhythm and the beat, [C] we’ll defeat the defeat
[G] Hold me closer, [D] let the world complain
[Em] We’ll just have [C] one last dance in the rain

(Verse 2)
[G] Her eyes were sparkling, [D] under the city lights
[Em] We moved together, [C] into the night
[G] With every twirl and spin, [D] we forget the strain
[Em] Lost in our [C] last dance in the rain

(Chorus)
[G] One last dance in the rain, [D] wash away the pain
[Em] With the rhythm and the beat, [C] we’ll defeat the defeat
[G] Hold me closer, [D] let the world complain
[Em] We’ll just have [C] one last dance in the rain

Band’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is a woman named Meredith. She saw them perform at a small venue in Austin early in their career and has followed them devotedly ever since. Meredith says, “The first time I heard Beloved Weapon, I knew they were something special. Their music speaks to my soul. It’s raw and real, yet comforting and familiar. It’s like they’ve bottled up all the emotions of the human experience and set them to a killer soundtrack. I’ve never missed a show in Austin and have all their albums. I feel a deep connection with their music that I can’t quite explain – it’s like they’re a part of me, and I’m a part of them.”
