Tricky Island

Backstory:
Formed in the colorful city of Barcelona, Spain, in 2015, ‘Tricky Island’ has a unique backstory that captures their adventurous spirit. The band members, lead vocalist and guitarist Javier Luna, bassist Enrique Castillo, drummer Marc Rubio, and keyboardist Laura Vidal, first met while vacationing in the Canary Islands. They had a common love for music, and one fateful night, found themselves in an impromptu jam session that lasted until dawn. The chemistry was palpable, and thus, ‘Tricky Island’ was born. They named their band to celebrate this serendipitous meeting and the tricky yet exciting journey they had embarked on.

Favourite Fan:

Our favourite fan is Ines Rodriguez, a charming, music-loving woman from our hometown Barcelona. Ines claims that our music captures the spirit of both her city and her youthful soul. Here’s her testimonial:

“In Tricky Island’s music, I find the rhythmic heartbeat of Barcelona and the essence of my youth. They blend the traditional with the modern, the sentimental with the vivacious. Their songs make me feel alive, make me want to dance, and sometimes make me shed a tear. I’ve followed them since their first gig in a tiny bar in Gràcia, and I’m incredibly proud of how far they’ve come. Their journey, just like their music, is a testament to the power of dreams and the magic of perseverance. They are, without a doubt, my favourite band.”
