Backstory:
Dishonest Knife was formed in 2005, in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas. The band began as an indie project by two roommates, Jesse Briggs, a coffee shop barista with a knack for writing lyrical poetry, and Hayden “Hay” Mitchell, an English major who found his passion in strumming the guitar and singing. The duo spent countless nights jamming in their living room, their unique sound gradually drawing a local following. When the drummer from a well-known local band, ‘The Subtle Keys’, joined them in 2007, they started to gain wider attention. This marked the official establishment of Dishonest Knife, an indie rock band with a penchant for blending poetic lyrics with edgy rock melodies.
