Incomplete History

Backstory:
“Incomplete History” was born on a rainy day in Seattle, Washington, in the heart of the grunge era. The founding members, Simon Decker and Rachel Carlisle, had been childhood friends who shared a love for music. They spent countless hours in their small, cluttered garage, tuning their instruments and crafting their sound. The band’s name was inspired by their fascination with historical events and their belief that every person, like history, is an incomplete and evolving story. They were later joined by drummer Joey “Madman” Madison and bassist, Lena “Bass Queen” Johnson, thus completing the lineup.

Genre:
Incomplete History is an amalgamation of alternative rock and folk, creating a unique sound that captures the raw energy of grunge with the soulful story-telling of folk music.

Title:
“The Ballad of the Unseen”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am – G – D – Em
There’s a street that lies empty, under the neon and noise,
Where ghosts of forgotten, dance with lost girls and boys,
A tale weaved in the shadows, under the city’s cold light,
Where sleepless souls wander, lost in the heart of the night.

(Chorus)
C – G – D – Em
This is the ballad of the unseen,
Echoes of stories that have never been,
Look beyond what your eyes perceive,
This is the ballad of the unseen.

(Verse 2)
Am – G – D – Em
Tattered dreams like old newspapers, carried by the wind,
Scattered thoughts and whispers, where do they begin?
In this city of millions, how many tales remain untold?
Underneath the skyscrapers, lie secrets, rusty and old.

(Chorus)
C – G – D – Em
This is the ballad of the unseen,
The history hidden in the cracks between,
In every heart, a mystery unfolds,
This is the ballad of the unseen.
