Backstory:
Untrue Ball was born in the gritty, underground music scene of Manchester, England in 2010. The band’s founding members, Tom Hardy (no relation to the actor), a drummer with a penchant for powerful and unsteady beats, and Jacky Mullens, a guitarist whose riffs were as unpredictable as a summer’s day in Britain, met at a local pub’s open mic night. They found common ground in their shared love for brash musical experimentation and disdain for mainstream pop culture. They sought to create music that was raw, unapologetic, and totally unexpected. After a few impromptu jam sessions, they brought on seasoned jazz bassist, Benny “Badger” Hughes, and fiery, soulful vocalist, Lila Stone. The result was an eclectic, rough-around-the-edges sound that would soon take Manchester by storm.

Shattered Mirrors
Full Song Lyrics with Chord Progression:
(Verse 1: Am, G, F)
In the shadow of a dream, (Am)
Where nothing’s as it seems, (G)
I saw your face in shattered mirrors, (F)
Lost in the echoes of my fears. (Am)
(Chorus: C, G, Am)
Shattered mirrors, (C)
Reflecting our unspoken lies, (G)
In the corners of our minds, (Am)
We hide behind our own disguise. (C)
(Verse 2: Am, G, F)
The truth is an untrue ball, (Am)
Bouncing off the crumbling wall, (G)
In the maze of broken promises, (F)
We’re lost in the silent abyss. (Am)
(Chorus: C, G, Am)
Shattered mirrors, (C)
Refracting the hidden truth, (G)
In the fragments of our youth, (Am)
We search for the proofs. (C)
(Bridge: F, G, Am)
In the echoes of the night, (F)
In the absence of the light, (G)
We’re just reflections in the shattered mirrors, (Am)
Lost in the fight. (F)
(Chorus: C, G, Am)
Shattered mirrors, (C)
Reflecting our hidden fears, (G)
In the rearview of the years, (Am)
We wipe away the tears.(C)
(Outro: Am, G, F)
In the shadow of a dream, (Am)
Where nothing’s as it seems, (G)
I saw your face in shattered mirrors, (F)
Lost in the echoes of our fears. (Am)

Testimonial:
As a fan of unconventional music, I’ve always been attracted to the raw and imperfect. Untrue Ball’s music is just that – raw, unpredictable, and beautifully flawed. Their sound is a blend of chaos and harmony, noise and silence, something I’ve never experienced with any other band. The way they weave life’s truths and untruths into their lyrics – it’s like they’re echoing the thoughts and feelings we all have but are too afraid to admit. The song ‘Shattered Mirrors’ is my favorite. Every time I hear it, it gives me chills. It’s like they’ve cracked open my soul and put it into words. It’s pure, it’s authentic, it’s Untrue Ball.
