Backstory:
“Another Person” is an indie rock group formed in 2012 in the bustling city of San Francisco by four friends who shared a passion for music and a drive to break away from the monotony of a typical 9-to-5 job. Lead guitar and vocalist, Noah Benson, and drummer, Charlie Harper, used to room together in college where they bonded over their shared love for bands like Tame Impala and The Strokes. They recruited their high school friends, bassist, Mike Donovan, and keyboardist, Emily Rose, and thus “Another Person” was born. The band quickly gained local popularity, playing gigs at small venues and eventually catching the attention of a talent scout who got them their first record deal.

Title:
“Casting Shadows”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Em C
Walking down the boulevard, under the moonlight
G D
Strumming my guitar, it’s another sleepless night
Em C
The city’s sleeping, but I’m wide awake
G D
In this solace, there’s a rhythm I partake
(Chorus)
Em C
Casting shadows, on the walls of my mind
G D
Playing with the echoes, of the love left behind
Em C
In the mirror of the past, reflections aren’t clear
G D
Just casting shadows, in the theater of my fear
(Verse)
Em C
In the coffee shops, where we used to dwell
G D
Empty chairs and tables, they remember so well
Em C
The laughter and tears, in the stories we’d tell
G D
Now only silence, in the echoes that fell
(Chorus)
Em C
Casting shadows, on the walls of my heart
G D
Of whispered promises, that tore us apart
Em C
In the twilight of our love, sunset’s final tear
G D
Just casting shadows, in the theater of my fear
(End)
Em C
Just casting shadows, in the theater of my fear
G D
Just casting shadows, in the theater of my fear
Fan’s Favorite Testimonial:
“My name is Sarah, and I am hands down the biggest fan of ‘Another Person.’ Their music caught my ear from the first time I heard them at a small venue in San Francisco. ‘Casting Shadows,’ in particular, resonated with me on such a deep level that it became an anthem for my life. Their lyrics speak to the soul, and Noah’s voice is like a balm to the heart. They’ve made an indelible mark on the indie rock scene, and I’m looking forward to more of their soulful tunes.”
