Backstory:
Testy River is a group of four lifelong friends from the small town of Bentwood, Minnesota. They grew up together, exploring the vast wilderness, swimming in the icy rivers, and making music around crackling campfires. After high school, they all decided to follow their shared passion for music and formed the band Testy River. Their inspiration comes from the wild beauty of their hometown, the people they’ve met, and the stories they’ve lived. They’ve soaked up the diverse musical influences that passed through their small town, and their music reflects that eclectic mix.
Genre:
Testy River’s music is best described as a fusion of folk-rock and bluegrass, with elements of country and indie rock.
Title:
“Whispers of the Wild”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Down by the river, we used to [C] play,
[Em] Laughing and singing in the warm summer [D] day.
[G] But time kept moving, in its relentless [C] sway,
[Em] We grew older, but our hearts decided to [D] stay.
(Chorus)
[C] Whispers of the wild, [G] echoes of the past,
[D] Running through the woods, [Em] free and vast.
[C] We’re the voice of the river, [G] steady and strong,
[D] Singing our stories in a never-ending [G] song.
(Verse 2)
[G] Under the starry night, we found our [C] tune,
[Em] Humming with the wind, dancing with the [D] moon.
[G] We’re the sons of Bentwood, with its soul in our [C] veins,
[Em] Each note we play, tells a tale of love and [D] pains.
(Chorus)
[C] Whispers of the wild, [G] echoes of the past,
[D] Running through the woods, [Em] free and vast.
[C] We’re the voice of the river, [G] steady and strong,
[D] Singing our stories in a never-ending [G] song.

It’s like they’ve turned the raw beauty of nature and the complex emotions of life into melodies and lyrics. Their songs are both comforting and inspiring, and they possess a certain authenticity that’s hard to find these days. I’ve been following them since their early days, and it’s been a joy to watch them grow as musicians and storytellers.
