Backstory:
Polished DNA found its roots in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas in 2013. Originally, it was a group of four friends – Adrian, Max, Sam, and Zoe – who shared a passion for science and music. Adrian and Max were biology students, Sam was an engineering major, and Zoe was a singer-songwriter studying music. They started by playing small gigs on campus, before their unique sound began to gain local attention, leading to bigger venues and a growing fan base. Their name, “Polished DNA,” was inspired by their shared love for science and the idea that their music was a ‘refined genetic code’ that merged different sounds and genres together.
