Backstory:
Unfortunate Creditor is a rock band that came to fruition in the underbelly of Chicago’s warehouse district. The band members, Jake Sorenson (vocals), Tom “Rusty” Baines (lead guitar), Louie Dietrich (bass), and Mickey “The Machine” Ortiz (drums) found each other through their shared love for music and their shared struggle with financial challenges. Their name, “Unfortunate Creditor,” pays homage to their financial struggles that they faced in their early days before they found solid ground in the music industry.
The band, after playing their heart out in dingy bars and underground clubs, was discovered by a record producer. Despite their hardships and constant struggle, their authentic and raw talent didn’t go unnoticed. Their lyrics, filled with stories of love, resistance, persistence, and heartbreak, resonate with people from all walks of life.
